Kobolds are aggressive but industrious small humanoids. They are known for their skill at building traps, preparing ambushes, and mining. They are believed to be made by the goddess Reyim to serve the higher Dragon-kin as minions and can often be found in dragonborn towns as workers.

Kobolds are draconian humanoids, standing between 60 to 75 centimetres tall, weighing 16 to 20 kilograms, with scaled skin between reddish brown and black in colour and burnt orange to red eyes. They walk on their toes, had long, clawed fingers, and a jaw like a dragon. Small white or tan horns protruded from their head, and they have rat-like tails. They smell like wet dog and stagnant water. Kobolds like to wear red or orange garments, which were usually ragged.
