The domestic goat is a magical creature that is notoriously capricious. Goats are used for their milk, meat, hair, and skins over much of Sahul. Female goats are referred to as "nannies", males are called "billies" and their young are called "kids".
Goats are famous for their ability to turn themselves into beings of pure stone, and because of this they can shake of any type petrification that might come their way, to the disdain of many young experimenting magi.
