Fighter is a descriptive term for a warrior skilled with a variety of weapons and trained in the arts of war. A skilled Fighter defines the front line of any battle, breaking through enemy ranks and holding the line while their allies manoeuvre around the field. Fighters have been trained to use any set of armour weapon that the situation can require. As well as being master of arms, most Fighters also specialise in a particular skillset, such as archery or combat magic.
Martial Professions[]
Professional fighters can often be grouped and generalised into professions. Each profession has his own strengths and weaknesses. Wise generals combine these soldiers into formidable elite regiments where each soldier covers for the other. Some professions might be a more common sight in a culture than others, but all have their own place. To learn a profession, a fighter has to find a mentor and study under his supervision. Some pupils might master their art after a few months, while others stay with their mentors for years.
